Welcome to the Health Professions Office
The Health Professions Office at Navarro College provides specialized advising and other services to students who are interested in pursuing a health profession after graduation. Our primary goal is to provide support so that students can navigate a process that can be complicated, in part because there are many different health-related career options.
OUR HEALTH PROFESSION PROGRAMS
We offer certifications, associates, and bachelor's health programs. In addition to classroom lectures, our programs offer clinical training opportunities in a variety of settings to ensure our students have exposure to a multitude of professional opportunties. HEALTH PROFESSION SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year the Health Professions Office gives thousands of dollars in scholarships to our students. Below you will find information about each award, including the selection criteria. We invite students - both prospective and current students - to apply for our competitive scholarships.

Established for Navarro College students who are enrolled in the ADN or LVN program.

Louis and Ann Wolens Health Professions Scholarship
Funded by the estate of Louis and Ann Wolens to assist students in the nursing, MLT, OTA, and PTA programs.

Assists ADN students who are residents of Freestone, Limestone or Navarro County.

Established to award recipients who are in the ADN and LVN program.

Funded by the United Methodist Women's Auxiliary in Corsicana, the scholarship awards recipients who are single mothers enrolled in the ADN or LVN program.

Health Professions programs at Navarro College are accredited by the following agencies:
Navarro College is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and is a member of the Texas Association of Community Colleges and the American Association of Community Colleges. Navarro College represents itself accurately to all U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting agencies with which it holds accreditation and informs those agencies of any change of accreditation status, including the imposition of public sanctions. The Vice President of Academic Affairs, who also serves as SACSCOC liaison, is responsible for notification of accreditors when a change in accreditation status occurs. |
